Analisis Program PR Dengan SWOT

 PROJECT SUNLIGHT

Kami memotivasi memotivasi jutaan orang untuk mewujudkan hari esok yang lebih cerah bagi anak-anak di seluruh dunia melalui inisiatif global yang disebut Unilever Project Sunlight - dan Anda dapat berpartisipasi hanya dengan menonton film inspiratif secara online.
Project Sunlight, yang dimulai bersamaan dengan Hari Anak Universal (20 November 2013), adalah usaha untuk mewujudkan kehidupan berkelanjutan menjadi diinginkan dan dapat dicapai oleh masyarakat, terutama para orang tua, untuk membangun sebuah dunia dimana semua orang bisa hidup lebih baik dan dan dalam batas kemampuan alam dari planet ini.

TERINSPIRASI OLEH ANAK-ANAK
Inisiatif ini didasarkan pada hasil penelitian internasional yang dilakukan oleh Unilever yang menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak memegang peranan penting dalam perubahan perilaku secara berkesinambungan pada orang tua mereka. 9 dari 10 orang tua mengatakan sifat optimisme anak menginspirasi mereka untuk membuat dunia menjadi tempat yang lebih baik. Sedangkan 7 dari 10 mengatakan mereka ingin hidup dengan cara yang lebih ramah lingkungan untuk masa depan anak-anak mereka. Dengan menyatukan misi sosial brand kami seperti Lifebuoy, Dove, Rinso, Pepsodent, Bango dan Pureit, kami ingin membantu orang sebanyak mungkin untuk mengambil langkah kecil yang berkelanjutan bersama-sama sehingga memberikan dampak yang besar bagi Bumi ini dan generasi mendatang.

SAKSIKAN FILM KAMI DAN JADILAH BAGIAN DARI PROJECT SUNLIGHT
Unilever bekerjasama dengan sutradara pemenang Academy Award, Errol Morris, membuat film untuk menginspirasi kita semua untuk melihat masa depan dengan cara yang lebih positif dan optimis. Untuk menandai peluncuran Project Sunlight, kami melakukan donasi ke 3 dari mitra Yayasan kami - Save the Children, UNICEF dan World Food Programme. Pada Hari Anak Sedunia, kami akan membantu 2 juta anak, dengan cara menyediaan makanan tambahan bagi anak sekolah melalui World Food Programme, membuka akses terhadap air layak minum melalui Save the Children, dan perbaikan sanitasi dan hygiene melalui UNICEF.

MAKING SUSTAINABLE CHOICES

MENERAPKAN PRINSIP BERKELANJUTAN
Kami ingin mengajak masyarakat untuk menerapkan prinsip berkelanjutan dalam pola hidup rumah tangga dan cara pemilihan produk mereka.  Produk-produk Unilever digunakan lebih dari 2 milyar kali dalam sehari di lebih dari setengah rumah tangga di planet ini – maka kami yakin dapat membantu setiap orang untuk hidup dengan baik dan hidup secara berkelanjutan melalui produk-produk kami.
Keith Weed, Unilever Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, mengatakan: " Kami memilih nama Sunlight sebagai penghormatan kepada pendiri perusahaan kami, William Lever , melalui visi yang sangat kuat yaitu ‘membuat kebersihan sebagai kebiasaan sehari-hari’ dengan sabun Sunlight. Hal tersebut pula yang kemudian menginspirasi kami untuk mewujudkan ambisi kami saat ini: membuat hidup yang berkelanjutan sebagai kebiasaan sehari-hari. Sunlight juga melambangkan peluang dan optimisme yang merupakan ciri dari cara pandang Unilever.
"Mengadopsi gaya hidup yang berkelanjutan dan membuat orang untuk menggunakan daya beli mereka untuk membuat pilihan-pilihan dalam mengkonsumsi sesuatu yang baik bagi mereka dan dunia merupakan faktor penting dalam mendorong pengurangan kesenjangan sosial dan mengatasi perubahan iklim yang buruk," tambahnya.
Project Sunlight diluncurkan di Indonesia, India, Inggris, Brasil dan Amerika Serikat dan akan diperluas ke negara-negara lain pada tahun 2014.

My Contribution as A PR

Never in my life before I have thought in majoring communication. As in my second year of high school I chose science program in my major just because I didn’t know what I want to become, plus science students can choose social studies for university. But, I ended up choosing communication anyway, which it is social.

Maybe some people would say that I ain’t that potential enough in communication since I am shy. Because all they know communication always related with speaking in public or whatever they might say. Yes, it is true. I also learn it in communication. But, it is only the skin. If you go deeper than that. You will find me trying hard to speak in front of people since I am way too shy. I try to write, how to edit, and anything you may think we — as communication students — might not learn it.

Question is, why I choose communication despite the lack of abilities? One of my seniors once said to me that, if you choose public relations and you got accepted to Pertamina, your first salary will be huge for a fresh graduated. Not to mention but money was the issue. So I dreamed to be a public relations.

Some people are good in having first impressions. Some might not. But, we need to make people look at us with great, well at least as PR you need more than good, impression. Because we are the face of the institution.

I actually don’t have much thought about working in a PR life. Because I don't know what public relations officer exactly doing. Do they only talk or what? I have no idea at all. Sure, it might be it is one of public relations job, but I myself think it is more than that. Since, we are the face, gituloh.

Being a good PR isn't as easy as everyone think because like what I stated before. Being a PR means you need a lot of abilities.

I didn't like public speaking before because I hate the way people stared at me and how much those glares affected me. I learned from my senior that I have to boost my confidence. Because I'm a diamond and I need to shine.

In the end, I've stepped in this communication world and I won;t step back. I will learn more, work more and do more than anyone else. So then I will shine more. I will show to those people who thought or think that I'm not potential enough in this world. Because I will and I'm potential.

So, what contributions I should give as a PR? There are at least internal and external contributions I might give. For internal I want my institution or company I work at is having a great face in public. Getting a lot of certificate stated that this company is the best at bla bla bla. People would like to join the company or go work with us. And of course lot of people will go to our service or products since my company will be the one who shines.

Everything is nonsense until you care with your environment. PR should not take care for the company itself only. But also the others, I mean the environment issues where you go to work or something that related with your company. For example, if I’m a PR for five stars luxurious hotel I will definitely care with water as it is the issue. As everyone knows that hotel needs lots of water. A room in a hotel need at least 380 liter of water and a household only need 300 liter of water. Multiply the 380 liter of water a room need with the total of rooms in the hotel. It is only the room, pool or spa doesn’t count yet. I’m going to take care about the people who lives near my work place. As there’s a documentary in Youtube that I’ve watched before, it is Belakang Hotel, I found there is a hotel that banned because they use illegally use people’s water.

In the end, I don’t want myself to be a PR that only care with my own company. But also my environment. As for me, there’s no point if you do anything for money (although I did it before because I want the money). Quoted from Casey Neistat, one of youtube celebs that I follow, if you do anything because of money you do it wrong.

There’s a quote that says “happiness is when you can share it with others.” And that apply for my job too. Sharing means caring. Sharing isn’t always giving, but to accompany or to help others.
